We ended up not having the pork chops last week because we went to the mall and ate at Five Guys Burgers & Fries - YUM! We had a bunch of crap on Saturday (egg rolls, taquitos, chicken tenders, and french fries) all frozen things that just had to be popped in the oven. And the frozen pizza happened on Sunday night.
My plan for next week:
Monday - Mexican Manicotti (leftovers from last week)
Tuesday - Marinated Pork Chops
Wednesday - Hamburger & Pasta Skillet
Thursday - Shake & Bake Chicken, Rice
Friday - Eggs, Bacon & Hash Browns
Saturday - Hot Dogs
Sunday - Kung Pao Chicken (recipe coming next week)
So, after I made the menu plan, the grocery list AND the first of two grocery store runs, my 12-yr-old step-daughter announced that she wanted to go vegetarian next week. I don't have a problem with that, in theory, but EVERY single dinner this week contains meat. She's being convinced to wait until a week where we can plan for it and make sure we have menus that will work for 2-3 of us to be vegetarians while 1-2 of us continue to eat lots meat.
